Dr. Marlowe Niemeyer

Speaker Profile: Dr. Marlowe Niemeyer, a founding member of SJN parish, was involved in the RCIA program for many years, teaching classes and leading scripture breaking. She has also led a book discussion group between masses focusing on contemplative prayer

She holds a medical degree and trained as a psychiatrist, she is retired from private practice specializing in psychotherapy. She has been a spiritual director for almost twenty years, certified through the Diocese of Austin. She has written several pieces for SJN’s publications, including Advent themes and her journey with the Blessed Mother.

She and her husband split their time between Austin and a home in the high desert of New Mexico.
